Long story short, I told most of my coworkers and my manager I was leaving my current job. I thought the new one would have better benefits but it doesn’t and I think i’d lose too much if I leave. The pay is better but more importantly i’ve grown close with many people. I’ve already told nearly everyone there which I now realize was a completely dumb decision because now it will be harder for me t chance my mind. I want to talk to my manager about staying and potential changes but I’m worried I’ve already ruined my chances. They’re all really upset that I’m leaving because I’ve ben a valuable worker but I’m worried that I’ve lost their respect. What do you do if you want to stay after you’ve already written a letter of resignation? If I AM able to stay how do I avoided the embarrassment and awkwardness? (The job is at a restaurant, by the way)
