Sort of, but not-
I have a very good job with a company (specializing in mechanical and plumbing contracting/design) that I've worked for, for 11 years. I'm a director and manage multiple departments. I have a degree. I've had my hands in purchasing, HR, payroll, inventory, training, safety, and virtually everything else at some point or another. I'm planning on being here for the long haul.
Then why did I make this post?
I'm a single father, with sole custody of my two children, which ties up nights and weekends with the task of keeping them alive and mostly healthy. We do fine in terms of housing and food and all the essentials. I'm not poor at all. However, travel-level sports and all the extra stuff gets expensive so it would be nice to have a little side gig to bring a little extra in. What I'm wanting to know is if there are opportunities out there for people with marketable skills and knowledge/professionals, as opposed to the typical "Looking to get money without having to actually have a real job" type of thing, which isn't what I'm looking for. I just want to make sure I'm not missing a change to leverage my experience into something that could be helpful to my family.
