I've been working at a distribution centre for almost 2 years as a full time casual. They did offer me perm full time a few months back but I declined as the pay was 20% less.. the full time benefits outweigh casual rates after about 2 years but that's not the point.
I've told them that I'm not interested in a career here but that was when I first started (2 years ago). There's nothing wrong with the place, but I could be getting 1.5x more elsewhere doing the same thing.. I currently help my team leader with his duties and do feel bad if I simply leave for the exact same job somewhere else.. is this normal? I also feel emotional about leaving my coworkers.. how can I get over this? I know, it sounds weak but this has been my first proper job. I'm in my early 20s.
I do have a university degree but I prefer manual labour than office jobs (such as data entry) as i find it quite addicting.
