Drove 8 hours for sn interview only to be ghosted?

Was told that I would hear something Friday late afternoon or yesterday, and no one said anything yesterday or today. Was also told there may be a second round of interviews, but I feel like if that was the case, I would have heard something by now.

I didnt even rate a "We've decided to go with another candidate."

This was the first interview I've had since I got laid off, too.

Have I really been ghosted? Is there possibly still a chance? My husband doesn't think so, but maybe he is just saying that to save me disappointment or to get me to start looking again.

It sucks, because I really liked this place. Why do companies do this??
