Hello,
I am an engineer in physics and previously worked as a technology & market research analyst/consultant for high-tech products/companies from various fields. I have been unemployed for a year and having difficulties to find another job. Despite I have interviews, I have difficulties to promote my profile, mainly for job requiring a bit more of technical expertise. Either I am not technical enough or I don't have 5 years of expertise in a specific field. The only career I'm called for it's for sales engineer jobs. But I'm actually not comfortable with prospecting and sales.
I am from a conservative country in terms of job market and it's often quite complicated here to change of field (it's possible but it may requires time). At the moment I'm trying to get job as business analyst. I guess my analyst skills can be interesting as I'm able to gather needs of customers and translate them into technical.
I don't know if you would have any recommendation that would help me in my job search, and to convince companies I can adapt to a new fields and develop new skills.
