I am curious to see what the thoughts are on here. I have the chance to be a digital print press operator, but part of me is worried about career longevity. I've heard many people say that print is a dying medium, or something that can be easily outsourced in the future. What are your thoughts?
I've been on the fence a little bit about this career switch and am actually considering attempting to go back to school for a degree in the medical field before investing too much time into printing. Medical careers seem to be more stable these days. Normally I wouldn't worry about the longevity seeings that I am fairly young (30) and there is always time to change if you want it bad enough. My main concern is having a stable income to provide for a (hopefully) future family down the road.
