Will this have a big effect on my career?

I am currently enrolled in MBA program, and am using it as a security down the road. I am not a fan of corporate america and plan to be a full-time real estate investor in my late 30s as a way to get out. I plan to use the MBA to leverage the salary so I can save and use the money for investing until I can transition full-time. However, I recently got the opportunity to work under an investor and learn the business full-time, if I did this for a year to learn the ropes early, while completing school, would I still be able to find a decent job once graduated?
