Just got let go of my job and don't know what to do next

I moved states for this job and was let go in 3 months. I'm trying to find something else in the area but to be honest I'm just lost right now. I'm considering also going in to retail until I find something that I can use my degree for, but I'm just at a loss here because I moved here and didn't look at any other opportunities.

I guess I'm just asking for advice from somebody else who may have been in the same or similar situation.
