Back in November I went to a recruiting event for graduating students. There wasn't a specific role in a specific department that we were applying for. It was more to see your communication skills and fit in the company. After almost 2 months I finally got a rejection email (Tuesday this week from hr). However the confusing part is that I got a pretty detailed email late Monday this week from a mangaer of a specific department saying I would be a good fit for his department and to call him on his cell to discuss further. Mind you, this was for the same project and in the same location as the recruiting event I went to. I called him the next business day and left a voicemail, emailed him and called him again the day after. He hasn't responded to any of my messages. Is there any point in follow up with the manager any further or is this company a lost cause for me? Let me know if you guys want any more info. Should I call his office number instead? Thanks in advance!
