So I'm 18 and just graduated
I've been at this fantastic job at a precast plant for 2 months now and I'm loving the pay and my co-workers but I haven't learned how to do anything new but my Co worker who is 28 was hired a week after me keeps getting pulled away to learn new things despite me asking if there is anything else I can do I always get sent to the yard in returns and essentially forgotten about unless I go find my coworkers
And just today I finished the section I was working on and my supervisor came out and grabbed him to teach him more stuff even though I was closer and had Cleary just finished my task therefore leaving me his half of the work to do whilst he got to to learn another thing when I haven't been taught jack
Currently he know how to pressure test, check manholes, static test and is always getting pulled away to use power tool despite my requests and experience with power tools
I haven't been taught anything in the 2 months iv been here
Why am I not learning anything new, could it that I'm 18 and he's 28? and should I try asking my supervisor why I haven't been taught anything or ever get to do challenging jobs that I have experience with?
