A past employee who was let go, and is now in a legal battle with my company, has reached out to me. How to move forward?
He got let go about a month ago for performance reasons. Started to then steal company property from home that day by remoting in.
We were told by management that he made some bad decisions, and if he reaches out, then tell them.
He reached out. Asked how I was doing, I said I was good. He then asked if I knew the reason why he was let go, because they didn't tell him why and he's "hoping they said something after he was gone".
I haven't responded. I don't want to or care to get involved. I don't even want to bring this t management cause like I said, I don't want to get involved.
What's the best course of action here? Any advice is appreciated.
