Should I reach out to hiring representative I've interviewed with in the past (but no offer) about a new open position I want to apply to?
A few months ago, I started an application for a job opening through the company website. I only uploaded my resume and saved the application to finish later on. A few hours later, I got an email directly from a hiring representative saying that she looked at my resume, liked it, and would like to schedule a phone interview. I did a pretty casual phone interview with the woman, and we then started an email correspondence to set up a panel interview with the dept. A week later, she tells me that they've found another candidate for the role, and told me that she'd be happy to help if I'm interested in any other open positions. I saw another role I was interested in and emailed her about it. She replied saying that it was a part-time role, which I wasn't interested in, so I let the correspondence fizzle out.
Today, I got a job alert for the company, and the job criteria matches my skills/experience. The job opening was posted a day ago. Should I send an email to the HR woman after I submit my application? If so, what should the email say? Should I also attach my resume in the email as well? Would love any advice/input, thanks!
