Hello people! I started this summer working as a trainee consultant in the investment banking for a small consulting company in Zurich. I seek help with my salary because I think I am paid unfair. My contract says that my monthly net salary is 2400chf for working standard 42 hours per week. You think this is too low for Zurich? But wait, there is more. I also work some Saturdays and most of the times also overhours which I am not compensated for. My contract ends after 6 months, with the condition that it will be renewed with a new normal employment contract. In a small discussion we had. My employer told me that the salary will be around 5000chf per month which I still believe is ridiculously low for investment consultant (with 1 year experience and MSc in finance). Can someone help me having an idea of what I should demand after the 6th month? Is it legal in Switzerland to work like this uncompensated? Any help will be appreciated.
