Over the last four months I’ve interviewed at six different companies. All of these instances followed the same pattern: I’m called in because I have years of relevant experience, I nail multiple rounds of interviews, and then...I don’t get the job. This is really confusing to me, especially since I get great vibes from my interviewers, and my experience usually makes me a great fit.
That being said, how likely is it that one of my former employers is bad mouthing me? I’m not talking references (I’ve never been asked for those), but simply former companies on my resume saying I shouldn’t be hired. If I found out that all of this hardship has been because of one person then I would be furious. Is there a way to figure this out?
