So here's my reasons for wanting to leave.

We are bored of the area. We live in a city, and me and my wife are more small town type of people. We miss living in a smaller town.

I found out my boss believes I shouldn't be trained on new things. And that he basically wants me to stay at the lowest level right now. He basically told my shift lead to stop teaching me new things and that I should be doing the basic job I was hired for.
But, It's a good company. With real good benefits. It's a huge multinational company as well. But I think I may just have to take a risk.
I'm putting applications out slowly. In different states as well as a few in my own state. And 1 of those places emailed me back almost immediately. It's a small family run place in a small town 2 hours away. It's also only 1 hour from the beach which is a plus. I'm going to take a trip and talk to the owner later today. But I discussed over the phone that I cannot move there until my lease is up with my apartment.
What I want advice on is this. 1. Should I take the jump. And 2. How much should I ask for pay wise? I make 16/hr now. And I feel slightly underpaid for what I do. This small company who I'm going to see. Mentioned over the phone that they very rarely find people with experience. and could really use me in a specialized department. I know that department at my current company pays anywhere from 22-40/hr, depending on experience (which I have very little of in this specialized area). So what should I ask for?
Lastly. How much notice should I give for leaving? I was thinking 2 weeks, but they kind of hired me on as a favor so I feel bad. And it's making me think of maybe giving them 3 or 4 weeks notice. What do you think?
