So I’ve worked in the auto industry for nearly 4 years. I worked wholesale and now I’m working retail.
Retail sales- still new, working 60/70 hours a week. Management is hard to get along with sometimes. Really hurts my self esteem when I get treated like a child or put down by management. However, I have offers from other dealerships I can move to. Unlimited success and money once you make it. Trying to get into finance and make a solid 100-150k a year
Wholesale- go back to my old company, pretty much guaranteed to make $6500/7000 a month. I love the atmosphere and the people. Capped earnings but Im amazing at my sales job there and I loved it. 40-45 hours a week. More balance for friends and taking care of myself.
Debating the 2, just because I want to have a good future and I want to pursue finance but I really dislike my current managers in retail. I can go to the other dealership any time or to wholesale any time. Not even sure if 6500/7000 is good for someone my age(20)?The only reason I left my old job is because the company went under but they are much stronger now and stable.
