Should I be paid more with a degree?

Here's my background: I previously worked in inpatient psych as a "mental health tech" which is a fancy way of saying orderly, really. Anyway, I really liked the job but had to give my two weeks notice after a few months because of the commute. Did a great job and left on excellent terms, so they're still a good reference.

Now, a few years later, I'm graduating with my BA in psych and have a job interview coming up for a similar position. This is at a different but similar inpatient facility for an almost identical position. The job posting lists the pay as depending on qualifications and experience.

So, I'm wondering, now that I have my degree (required for this position), should I be hopeful for/expecting a higher pay than I received at the old position before I had my degree? My old job paid $13/hour base pay, I'm hoping for something to at least match my current pay of $15/hour (current job is in an unrelated field).

A few things I'm aware of: different company, might have a different pay scale altogether. Although the new company and old one are in the same region, so maybe they're close? Not sure, and Glassdoor and Indeed don't have a whole lot of pay info for this new company. Also, that BA is a minimum requirement for many psych jobs, so maybe it wouldn't bump up my pay like I'm hoping it might? I understand most stable, well-paying jobs in psych usually start at the MA level and get better the higher up in education you go as well as with licensure, which of course makes sense.

Thanks!
