Started my casual 10 hour night-shift on Sunday and then did Monday and Tuesday, and now the manager is asking me to do tonight and tomorrow! 50 hours that would be if I ought to do them. My body is aching all over. I've only just begun and this is my first proper occupation too. Not sure what to say to the manager? Apparently the other night-shift worker is sick in hospital. I had plans Friday but not tomorrow, but fuck I was really looking forward to resting. I ain't even all too concerned about the extra money, more concerned about my physical state.
In what approach should I show to the manager if I don't want to work the two nights? Would they be understanding? I feel as if because I'm a very recent new employee, that it is up to me to make a great first impression by saying yes to the shifts, if I say no, it might be a negative impression.
