I had something odd happen in a phone interview today, wanted to see if this is a thing or if I stumbled on something weird.
Anyway, I got a callback about a job application I put in. It's a nice and friendly call, verifying if I was still interested along with a few basic things from my resume. A few other questions, basically a small phone interview. Anyway, it goes from nice conversation to please hold thanks abruptly and cue holding for about five minutes.
When the interviewer gets back on, the tone's notably changed, I get told I'll get a call from someone in HR to schedule an interview and the call's ended. Naturally, I never got that call back. While I realize I'll probably never know what happened, anyone have any read on this or ran across something like this?
