Parental leave.

My boss was nice enough to approve me a parental leave for the whole month of January (2019). There has been a slight change of plan that my wife and I with our baby would need to travel back to our home country. Initially I told my boss that the reason why I'm going on parental leave is to help out my wife with the transition of going back to work. Should I let my boss know about this or should I just not worry about it since it was approved anyway.
