Massive transportation costs?

I’m not going to have a car for the next year or so and I’m working a new job at a tutoring center (small, brand new center). I’ve been there for about two months and I’ve had to Uber there because there’s almost no public transportation where I live. I’m one of three employees at the center and I’m not sure if/ how I should bring up with my boss that Uber is eating into my paycheck. There are some days when I make almost half or a quarter of a paycheck because rides cost ~$20. I’ve only been here for a few months and don’t really know what to do. Any advice on getting to work cheaper or addressing the issue?
