For example, I know of people who aren’t necessarily great at their jobs, but they know how to get promoted super fast. Then there are people who get promoted way more slowly, but actually know all the details of their work. So is there any real benefit to actually being great at what you do before moving up, or is moving up quickly always a good thing?
