Delaying job offer awaiting another / Job title exaggerates role

Hi all, So I am a new software engineering graduate applying for a number of jobs.

I have an stage 3 interview upcoming in 4 days for a cyber security firm, which I am interested in. They have bought my flights to attend the interview.

However I have just been offered a part-time job for a very small company as ‘Technical Manager’.

I would obviously like to delay accepting or declining this until I know whether I will be offered a position at the cyber firm.

A few questions:

  • How should I delay accepting or declining until after my interview? Is it viable to accept and then back out before starting if I am accepted for cyber firm?

  • Should I (and if so how should) I negotiate the technical manager job? I anticipate that they cannot go much higher in salary (they are actually funded by a charity), but their current offer is lower than I’d expect in the industry.

  • Would the ‘Technical Manager’ title going to help me, or hurt me in the future? I am most certainly not qualified to be a technical manager in a large company, but I would be interested in such a role in future. Should I ask for a different title like ‘Systems Engineer’? - which I believe is more relevant to the job description.

Thanks
