Title pretty much says it all. I am having an extremely hard time finding a job in the U.S. because the state of HR is broken here. I am wondering if there are countries where you can get a job simply by applying for it and having the proper or superior credentials? I understand that no matter where you apply it will help to have connections who work there, but in the U.S. it seems that you HAVE to know someone who works where you are applying in order to have a scant chance at getting an interview.
I have a master's in biotechnology and a doctorate in medicine. I am not able to work as a doctor because I did not match in to residency (post graduate training) and it is unlikely that I will match in the future. I am trying to find employment in biotech, but I am overqualified for most positions. The positions that do take M.D.s (e.g. medical director, clinical affairs, etc... all require or prefer residency training).
