I have a question regarding those job portals where you can upload multiple resumes and cover letters and apply to a multitude of jobs under the umbrella of one conglomerate fielded by the same HR.
That’s how it is for publishing houses anyway. Not sure about other industries. For example, applying to two different magazines using the Hearst portal.
My Q: is it a mistake to apply to different roles with different levels of experience? Even going so far as different resumes?
Why does this feature exist if it’s not used?
Does the same HR dude see both and say “Why would he be a good manager if he also applied for an assistant role?”
Does it SCREAM desperation?
Or are they funneled down seperare dark tunnels?
I am qualified for a mid-level role but in actuality would do anything to get in the door.
Anyone have experience with this?
Thanks. . .
