So I just landed an interview but they’re asking for more info regarding my previous work history. Even though I don’t currently work for my previous employer, I lied and said I was still employed with them. I was fired back in May and I honestly feel that every time I mention I was terminated or even said I quit voluntarily with a 2 week notice, they look at me bad and I feel like it eliminates me from consideration right away. When a new prospective employer runs a background check would they be able to see that I lied about being there longer than I said ? It’s only been 7 months longer if that helps :/ thank you all
