Secondary Compensation Plan pay

Hey guys. Newer to the job market and I noticed that once I was hired I was shown a primary wage that I’ll receive and something called a secondary compensation plan that had a different value. Does that mean that I’ll make the primary + the secondary per hour, or does that only apply in specific circumstances?
