Told my my boss that I’m not at work to make friends and he didn’t like that…

Let me start off by saying I’m the top performer on my team in sales.

This was a end-of-the-month meeting I had and he wanted to know where I was with the job and feeing about work.

I told him that my goal is to come in, do good work, and leave. It isn’t my goal to make friends.

He started to lecture saying why that was the “wrong” mentality.

Tf? I didn’t say I can’t work with people or communicate. But I’m not coming into work to talk about weekends, hobbies, get drinks afterwards, or anything else.

I come in to do the job I’m paid for.

Why is this a problem for some?
