41 years old, never had a real job, but considering a 9 to 5. I have education credentials, but would anyone hire me? I mean, I'm not Devin Nunes: CEO with no experience.

I sorta f'd up my best decades.

I graduated from UC Berkeley, but had a pitiful GPA. That was 20 years ago.

Afterwards, I wasted about a decade doing medical school route, and realized I could not hack it. I do have an MD degree though, but it's worthless. I just didn't know when to quit. I struggled to memorize that medical crap, and barely passed some of the USMLE medical licensing tests after failing them a couple times. I knew I was not going to get any residency with my academic results.

So at 34, I decided to finally quit pursuing medicine, and switched to being a real estate agent. The real estate license exam was a piece of cake, but the hard part comes later when trying to get new business.

I can continue to hustle and do real estate, but I'm wondering.... if I were to try to switch to a 9-5 job, what kind of jobs (besides walmart) would hire a guy like me with no proven real world skills?

I consider myself a jack of all trades, and learn certain things quickly (that don't require memorization), but I can't really prove it, especially on paper.

So, start in the mail room? Suck it up and flip burgers? Apply for everything; spray and pray?
