I'm in my late 20's and I have been out of school for years now. I never actually finished my degree, mainly due to a lot of reasons. I do plan on going back to school, I just don't know when. I'm trying to turn my life around so it probably won't be anytime soon.
I have been working a lot of jobs in the past 10 years and a lot of those jobs have been soul sucking dead end jobs. I've been trying to find a better white collar job, but it's kinda hard since I don't have much exp or a degree.
I've been told that I should try and do some volunteer work so that it would make me look better on my resume. However, I'm not sure if it would help though. I mean will recruiters really care if a guy who's not even in school is doing volunteer work? Also, If doing volunteer work is a good idea, how long would I have to volunteer for in order for them to take my resume seriously?
