New job warnings?

I recently got a new job in IT that has much better benefits and salary than my last job. My only concern is that my manager keeps eluding to there being stress with the job. I know the industry so I understand things occasionally get tense when the tempo gets high but i've never had this much prep or warning before. I'm wondering if I should be concerned. Everyone I have talked to in the hiring process has been excellent and very willing to answer my questions.
