So I graduated college last year and currently applying for jobs and hopping around. I had a teaching job around this time last year but the program ended because of Covid. Then I got another job that lasted for about 5 months, it was technically temporary but was supposed to go on for longer, but that ended earlier than expected because of Covid.
I don't have much job experience before or during school either, just temp jobs to earn a bit of money.
I somewhat have references to put down (like 2 professional and the rest are really just personal), but some of the jobs are actually saying they are going to contact these people. Last year my professional references have said I could use their name, but I don't want to keep putting them down and they keep getting contacted about my jobs.
I am really wondering if it would be okay to put down a personal reference like a friend I had college classes with or my uncle (who i really just babysat for and did small things like help him with filling out paperwork). These are the only types of people I can think of that would be able to fill out a survey and answer calls from these potential employers. The job is for working as an assistant in school.
I really want to get a "i'm going to be staying for at least a year" job but those jobs for me are hard to get and the temp ones I can get don't last for long, or they don't pay much so I'm trying to ease my way into a more permanent position that actually can pay bills without relying on my parents as much lol
