Should I give sales another chance?

I want to work in the writing/technical writing field someday, and I haven’t gotten a writing job just yet.

I did, however, get a job selling vacations and I start this Wednesday. The working environment seems pretty great along with a great team. There’s also no cold calling and no closing. It’s almost like a call center except you’re trying to get the callers to buy a vacation.

Honestly, I’m not sure what to do. This opportunity has great people, but I’ve worked two sales related jobs before and I was absolutely drained at the end of each day. I also hated dealing with people all the time, and I couldn’t just recharge because I had goals to meet.

I’m honestly not sure what to do, and I could sure use some advice.
