Hi, hope everyone’s having a nice Friday. I recently applied to a job, and one of their HR reps reached out Wednesday to schedule a time to talk. I replied back on Thursday morning, to schedule Friday (today) at 1730, which she confirmed. Thursday evening I was meeting with my sister after work, and I notice a missed call/voicemail from the HR rep, basically saying “sorry for the delay, I was in a meeting running behind, let’s try and connect a bit later today” (paraphrasing), so I’m thinking she got the days mixed up. Which is no biggie, been a long week and it’s almost the weekend. So I give her a call back and she says to give her a few minutes as she’s driving and will call later. So I’m like “okay, sure”. She then sends an email later, saying “too much traffic, let’s reschedule, can you do tomorrow (Friday) morning”, I’m like “….no…I have my current job to do..is Friday 1730 still available” (paraphrasing), and she goes “Perfect. My apologies”. It’s now Friday 1800 and no call, no email. I waited until 1745 until I wrote it off as a no-call, not sure if I was supposed to call her or she was supposed to call me, but at this point I’m like 🤷🏻♀️
Do I give this person another chance or just move on? I’m also wary since I saw a potential salary range for this job and company, and it’s less than what I’m making now. Sorry, I don’t know what to flair this as.
