Soon college graduate. Starting first job several states away. They flew me out to the office and paid for my expenses during the interviews. They said they would also help with flights to arrange housing so everything is set when I start my job.
The offer letter states a relocation package upon starting the job. There is no promise of this prior flight for looking for housing, but it was stated verbally and via email that they would take care of it.
I told them the dates I would like to be flown out, in a polite manner. They said someone else will take care of it. I'm assuming it's the travel agency that took care of me when I did the interview.
My question:
No one has contacted me to arrange the details and I'm not sure if it's out of line to remind my contact for this or if I should just book the flights/hotel/rental car myself and use my savings until I can use the relocation to comp those costs.
If I remind my contact, how long do I wait? What should I say? Is this even appropriate considering it's not in the offer letter?
