Around 3 weeks ago my Robert Half recruiter got me set up with an interview at this company. The interview went great and I felt really positive about it. I reached out to my recruiter about 4 days later to find out if additional details about next steps had been discussed and was told that his office wasn't the listing office and he would need to reach out to the other office and check with them.
After not hearing from him by day 7 I reached out to the hiring manager via the email address they provided me for a thank you. She responded quickly letting me know that they were making their decision in the next few days.
Just short of two weeks in I was informed that they had chosen me to move forward but did not know what that meant (again, because he would have to reach out to the other office). It has been 5 days since then and I have still heard nothing. I understand that it was Thanksgiving last week, but it seems that they should at least know what the next step in the process is intended to be or have a rough timeline.
At what point do I reach back out to the hiring manager and ask for an update directly? Also, if I do reach out, is it okay to imply or state that I have been told that I am front runner.
