Was hired at a fast food place and told that my hours would only be cut if I didn't meet performance expecations. So once a week I would ask my managers as I saw each of them if they had noticed anything that needed improvement or if there was something they needed specifically done. They always have said I was doing a good job. Fast forward from October to the end of November and they suddenly cut my hours back from 25-30 a week to only 12. I have been doing the same crap as before and was told I hadn't been doing some thing I was supposed to be doing that I was not told either to do. For example:
Whenever I would bring the mop and broom to clean the lobby and bathrooms was told not to and now they're nailing me on the sweeping.
Was never shown how to properly operate the dishwasher to increase the cleaning temperature.
Have repeatedly asked for training on grill and line assembly, as well as drive through only to not get anything back as far as an answer.
I have repeatedly tried to communicate with the managers here and have got nothing but dissmisive answers. I am wondering if I should jump ship now as soon as I get another job because up till now I was led to believe I was doing a decent job. Now not so sure. Was also told my hours wouldn't have been cut below 20 as well when I started. I would like to state as well that none of this was communicated PRIOR to me getting my hours cut.
