Basically the title tin. I work as a dishwashwer at a chain location. The previous place I worked at did not have a dish washing machine and I had to manually wash all the items every night. I also doubled as maintenance/janitorial there. Which is also I something I already had experience with. I eventually got what I thought was a better offer at my current job of at least 28-30 hours a week. This past week it was not even 24 hours in total. I also regularly check in on my days off to see if they need the help and get told no even though they get slammed after. Was working one night when a newer lady asked me why I wasn't increasing the water temperature, and told her I didn't know how to do that and wasn't show how to do that. Between that, not getting any experience on the line assembling apart from rushes, I feel like I have been misled by my employer. Though to be fair as far as the cleaning side of things goes, it doesn't take much longer than 4-4.5 hours to clean that site for the dishes either, bathroom and lobby can be cleaned in under 45 minutes.
Am considering getting a job with a different company because I feel like if this place can't be bothered to keep its promises on training me, and I fear I may be let go for inadequate job performance. Granted this place is short staffed on graveyard shift as it is only 3-4 people, I feel like they should have started me first on mornings/afternoon to make sure my training was done to their standards.
