Is taking a job in sales at a company I like a good idea, even if I don't want to be in sales long term?
So as a recent business degree graduate with no internship, I have struggled hard with finding a job (I know i should've interned in college, but nothing I can do about it now). The only job offers I have got have been in sales and most of the jobs I really want, I am not even getting a reply.
I found a sales program at a company I really want to work for, that I most likely could get hired for. However, I believe I would hate sales and most likely wouldn't be great at it. So I am wondering if it would still be a good idea to take this job as a way to get my foot in the door at the company or if I am better off being picky even though I have struggled bad the last few months, thoughts?
