Is it just me or is it unethical ?

Hi guys ! When you’re still in the recruitment process and you’re being interviewed by recruiters, whenever they ask you if you have other leads, do they ask you the exact names of the companies you’re also in contact with ? And when you turn down a job offer after the recruitment process is over, do they ask the name of company you chose to work for ? This has happened to me a few times lately and I have to say I’m a bit shocked and I’m not sure it’s common practice or even ethical of them to ask.

If you’ve been asked this question, what do you usually say ?
