I want to get out of IT but still remain at this pay-grade. Has anyone else done it?

I’m only around $90k. Long story short my background is working my way up the long hard way. Started off as a cashier making $7/h then became supervisor making $15/h.

Worked my way up in IT with contract roles. Started at 17/h help desk call center. Eventually over 5 or so years I made it to $40/h but then my contract terminated, so here I am.

I’m done for several reasons. I’m happy to explore but long story short I want an industry where I can do work but not interact much with people, I’m too burnt out from retail and service desk. I was doing IAM work. I don’t want to freelance, code, etc. I can but I’ve learned once I do x do fun, then make it into a job with a micromanaging boss, it’s not fun anymore.

I used to work in the arts, like tourism and translations, but cultural studies but arts don’t pay the bills anymore. I’m hoping to salvage my progress in life into a role I can still make this range in salary
