How do I get one of those jobs that are isolated, remote, or difficult for people because of location?

I keep hearing about jobs out there in the USA that are supposedly hard to fill because they're in remote areas, with little human contact, often in harsh environments, etc.

I really want this sort of job. But, I am unsure of how to start looking.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look?
