Sorry I dont really know what to flair this is as. I'm sorry if its in the wrong place.
I'm starting a little late in life compared to other people around the same age as me. Due to mental health issues, I spent the past 10 to 12 years shutting myself off from society. I'm only now starting my first retail job at the age of 29. Because it's the only work I can get with my lack of work experience and skills on my resume. Everyone in my work are all in their early to mid 20s. Nobody knows my real age and I can get away with it because I still look and feel like I'm only 19. It feels great to be able to earn my own money and finally become a adult and well, I don't see the job as permanent. I see it as a stepping stone to getting more jobs, more experience and eventually better pay in the future. But I'm confused on how some people can just skip working these minimum wage jobs to working a job with great pay and great benefits and a steady career with no experience or education. I'm referencing this of a one friend who lives in a country with a population of only 300k and He's somehow landed himself a job in working with children with disabilities with great pay. He has since left that job because he found a better job with even better pay working in a mental health hospital dealing with patients and I'm confused on how he has even landed this job in the first place since he has no education in healthcare or ever had a job in healthcare before these jobs. Is it just pure luck?
