I graduated and flew to Asia and got a job there. I then flew back this April and got myself a temp job as a barista. This is my first time working in California. This tea shop is okay for me because it's not too far from where I live and I currently don't have a car yet. During a meeting yesterday my coworkers and I were informed that the shop is going to be shut down by the end of this month. If a situation like this happened in Taiwan, the owner of the shop needs to pay the coworkers at least 3 months of $$$ so they don't get fucked over. I was wondering if there's a similar system like that here. Do I apply for EDD? I just need some financial aid for a few months until I can land my next job. Please help ;-;
