I'm a 27 engineer. Three months ago I quit my career job to work temporarily for a college friend's startup for six months (their business operates seasonally and they only need me for this season).
The problem is, I'm now ready to start applying for jobs back in my engineering field and I'm not sure what to put on my resume for the last three months. The work I'm doing at this startup is not giving me experience that would be relevant to my career, so I'm just considering truncating my resume work history at my last career job, instead of cluttering my resume with a bunch of irrelevant experience from the last few months. Is that OK? Or would employers assume I was currently unemployed if my job history ended in July 2020?
Thank you for your opinions.
