I'm a student currently working at a restaurant part-time and I've been working there for a month now. I like the job and my coworkers and management have been amazing. However, I'm leaving because I don't want to work late night shifts (ends at 2am), which is part of the job, and I got an offer for another job that fits my schedule better.
I want to respectfully tell them that I'm resigning because they've been very supportive. For example, they let me take the next 2 weeks off to focus on my studies. Since they let me have 2 weeks off, I was thinking of calling them to put in my resignation instead of coming in just to tell them that, but I'm not sure if this is something that's supposed to be done face-to-face. If it helps, I don't plan on working there in the future since it's not related to my career.
