Is 8 months of retail experience enough to get another job?
So I recently left my job at dollar general due to them not being flexible enough for me since I want to start school soon. ( I’m 19 and want to take some classes at a community college) also I felt at the end I was getting a bit mistreated and had enough. I was a key carrier at my job after just a month so I have very good experience on being able to count down tills as well as counting the deposits at the end of the night. I put in my two weeks and the company is really sad I decided to part ways and said I’m welcome to come back if I choose to. But I really don’t want to. I understand I should’ve looked for another job while I had the job but I’m going on a road trip this week to visit my family in California ( I moved to New Mexico and haven’t seen my sister in a year) which my boss approved while I still had my job but it was getting complicated and wanted me to work 3 doubles in order to get my week off! Which she had already approved 3 months prior! Anyways sorry for all that ranting I was just wondering if I made the right choice. I’m really happy I quit don’t get me wrong But I’m worried people won’t want to hire me since I didn’t stay a year. What should I do?
