Help! Chatting with an executive about joining his team, how should I navigate this query about the position?

I currently work as a coordinator at my job for about 3 years now and I’ve been looking to grow in my career so have been looking at other opportunities as opportunities at my current job appear stunted. I’ve been chatting with someone who told me to reach back out them since they were building a team and in doing so, I sent my resume as requested which highlights my best work and indicates proficiency (IMO) for a manager position. We hadn’t discussed what opportunities were available previously. He responded to ask if I was looking for a coordinator role, which I’m not and would ideally like to be elevated to manager in my next position. What is the best way to make clear what I’m looking for or inquire about manager positions on the expanded team in this situation?
