Did I handle a hostile work environment correctly?

So I recently got hired for a job I have zero experience in. The hiring manager KNEW I have zero experience and by extension I assume the people higher up than me knew as well. The day of the orientation I found out the other hiree, let's call her A,is the one of the higher ups (let's call her B) sister. For the past 2 months in the training process A has been put above me and trained far more and far better than I was. She was delegated more responsibility to (diving the daily tasks etc.) Which meant she got to do more and therefor get more experience, which really grinded my gears since we have the same job title and on paper, same responsibilities . To top it off B is incredibly rude and off putting in the Office towards all of us. I've had mental break downs about this since this is a big career leap for me and I want to learn. Well today, A ORDERED me to do something that with some critical thinking, she would have realized goes against our managers wishes. Her tone was condescending and rude and the task she told me to do was something she could have done herself. So I gave her sas back and said "SURE THING A". Afterwards I went to our manager and we had a talk about everything that has been happening. Usually I run from situations like this by finding another job out of fear of retaliation because let's be face, they are not supposed to retaliate, but somehow they always figure out a way to walk the line. But I like this job and it's my chance to learn about the industry I'm in. So my question is, did I do the right thing? Can A and B even be butthurt about this? I saw deterioration of professionalism and respect so I said something, no?
