Can I re-apply to a company if somebody from that company contacted me, but due to logistical issues I was unable to interview with that company?
I applied to a company, multiple locations. A manager from a location I didn't apply to contacted me to schedule an interview, but that location was too far away so I unfortunately had to turn down the offer -Not an easy decision, but realistically it would not have worked out.
I didn't hear back from any of the other locations and I'm outside the window of time in which somebody would have contacted me. I would love to work for this company, but I'm not sure if I should reapply now because I was offered an interview for that position with the company or wait to reapply because none of the locations I applied to reached out.
Bonus question: The location that offered me an interview is too far away because I am unable to drive, but if I was able to drive it would not be outside the realm of possibility. Given that I am unable to drive, I would go broke doing rideshares and there's no reliable transportation to/from the business.
But the manager at this location doesn't know I can't drive, so my question is: Would my not interviewing with that location because of logistical issues backfire? Would the manager say "he's not willing to travel X miles, therefore he isn't that interested" and pass that information along to the managers of the locations I applied to? Or are managers generally understanding of people's circumstances and I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill.
